Cheralyn Broom and Dillon

Since having my lessons with Rosie I now ride totally differently, with such a good position and seat in the saddle, that it enables me to feel relaxed, confident and in control.  Because of this I have overcome any worrying distractions I may have, which for the first time ever leaves me really having trust in my horse and him trusting me more.

Laura Young and Tricky

Rosie has been instrumental in the transormation of my very unruly youngster into a fantastic fun event horse.  She has coached us in such a way as to encourage me to really think about what I am doing at every stage of our training.  She makes you ask yourself 'How am I achieving this?' and 'How can I improve it?'.  With such a sensitive horse, Rosie has taught me that the most subtle difference or change can produce dramatic results both on the flat and whilst jumping.  Rosie coaches you to think and to react appropriately, to change and to correct yourself.  If you want to improve your riding whatever your level, I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Annie Todd and Junior

When I first came to Rosie I was on the verge of desperation, I already had a fair amount of competition experience and had found a promising young horse with whom I had a good partnership but there was something not quite right and things were starting to go downhill.  Rosie immediately identified what was going wrong and did not just rectify it, she enabled ME to rectify it.  Rosie gave me the key to unlock my success and the understanding of how to do it.  I firmly believe that after winning the P.C. Championships twice, completing 3 x 1*s and the Novice Championships at Gatcombe Festival of Eventing I couldn't have done any of it without her.

Julie Oxenham and Finn

I have beem having lessons with Rosie for nearly 4 years (2 months after backing my horse).  In that time she has taught me confidence not only in myself as a rider but in my horse.  At the end of every lesson/session I feel I have learnt something new and I am on cloud nine!  Rosie has not only helped my riding ability but has helped me on a personal level with myself.  I can confidently say that Rosie can teach any person, any age at any ability I have seen it with my own eyes!  She is an amazing person that makes you feel so fulfilled after every lesson.  I do not know where I would be with my riding if I had not met Rosie.

Teresa Bowler and Tonto

I love Rosie's breadth of knowledge and sympathetic approach to teaching for both the horse and rider.  I know that by having lessons with Rosie both myself and Tonto have improved with the best interest of the horse being priority.  The attention to detail and my posture has made a huge difference, after years of trying to no avail my toes no long stick out when I ride!!  I know that whatever riding challenge I am facing Rosie will approach the task in a patient and empathic way.  Rosie uses a huge amount of interaction and true coaching techniques when she teaches.  The result is lessons which are truly tailored to you and your horse as opposed to the lessons I have experienced in the past where I have been talked at and 'processed'!  My confidence levels have soared and I now feel that I can achieve all those personal goals I have previously aspired to but never quite had the confidence to put in motion.

Angela Morris and Jake

With Rosie I enjoy exploring new ways of doing things to achieve a better way of getting the best from my horse and me, which in turn makes the experience of riding better for both of us.  We have solved many problems with my horse, one being impulsion (I now ride without spurs) and also leaning on the bit, we discovered that it was because I hollowed my back which in turn made him lean on the bit.  Now that I am aware of this problem he can carry himself and move forward more easily.  Rosie has a way of explaining things that is easy to understand, even if you don't! and then she will find another way of explaining so that you do.  Rosie doesn't tell you, she also has ways of showing you what you can do to get the best from your riding.  I now feel that I have a better understanding of what I need to do to get the best from my riding.  Not only has the impulsion improved but he is lighter in the mouth and the contact that I have is the best it has ever been.  I always look forward to me lessons with Rosie as she always has new ideas which make my lessons interesting and always feel that I am moving forward rather than standing still going over the same things over and over again.

Wendy Elliott and Fleur

Whilst having lessons with Rosie I have improved my riding skills, Fleur's way of going and the relationship between Fleur and myself.  Rosie breaks problem areas down into manageable exercises and simplifies things to become more 'do-able', this makes you feel better about what you are trying to achieve.  Rosie asks you specific questions in a way that get you to think about your riding in a different way.  As a result it has improved the way I understand Fleur and how I approach things as a rider.  No problem is ever too big for Rosie.  She will always offer her advice and can deal with the rider on a completely different and separate level to the horse.

Tess Bryer and Tier/Honey

I have a 14.2hh Arab x Welsh, Tier, who can be a little flighty at times.  I wanted a purpose to my riding, I was hacking and doing a bit of show jumping at local shows.  Dressage had never appealed to me before but I thought now was the time to move on.  Someone recommended Rosie and I was feeling very apprehensive when she arrived for our first lesson but soon felt at ease when she explained that she taught several people at my level. I really enjoyed myself, liked Rosie and felt that I could relate to her.  I liked her attitude to both Tier and myself and so that was the start of our journey.  After 12 months we entered our first Dressage competition and came last but I was not dejected as I knew if I could calm her down we could do better.  We eventually started to get placed and I was so excited, Rosie must have dreaded the Monday morning phone calls!  I now have Honey on loan, a lively 14.2hh palomino mare, such a forward going pony, great fun to ride, so this was going to be a challenge.  I quickly jelled with Honey but I knew I was going to need a lot of help from Rosie.  We are now 18 months down the line and have been placed in a few dressage competitions and so I am very proud of Honey.  None of this could have been achieved without Rosie's help and dedication, I have learned so much.  Not only has my riding improved significantly, but my attitude to learning has changed, in so much as being patient and positive at all times.  It may take time, but it does work.  Finally, I'm so glad that I chose Rosie to help me, she is a fantastic instructor with the patience of a saint.
